Is modern mindfulness coaching right for Me?

Mindfulness coaching is right for anyone that would like to feel more in control of their life, feelings and behaviours.

The aim of modern mindfulness is, to gain a deeper level of awareness, which enables us to recognise our automatic reactions and unhelpful life patterns, to enable us to choose the way we feel. To give us the ability to look at a problem or challenge and immediately focus on the solution, rather than allowing us to be overpowered and pulled into negative emotion.

It can help us to take a mental step back from negative thoughts that can crowd our minds, lessen our self-esteem or affect our relationships with those around us. M.B.C.T can definitely give you the ability to see your way through problems and to get past them, increasing your self empowerment, inner contentment and calm.

Is Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy based on science

Yes, it is rooted in neuro-science, a science based approach that is specifically designed for today's lifestyle, quick and easy to learn and can be practised by anyone, it doesn't matter if you have any spiritual or religious background or not.

What are the scientifically proven health benefits of M.B.C.T?

Sometimes I don’t feel like I’m in tune with my emotions, or those of others

The ability to identify and control your own emotions, and appreciate other people’s emotions is Emotional Intelligence (E.Q).

The Mindful (M.B.C.T) process helps you become more in tune and aware of your emotions and  instead of reacting, allowing the space to respond and choose your emotional states.

This can help if you feel threatened or when you have a disagreement with someone, and by improving your interpersonal skills it also helps you connect emotionally with others.

M.B.C.T helps you to see things objectively whilst respecting other peoples views, by developing non judgement skills, compassion and assertiveness you will create closer relationships, shared understanding and greater self confidence.

Why am I feeling Stressed?

OK, imagine your mind is like a balloon, and imagine all of the information that you gather throughout the day is air.

As your day progresses you may have negative thoughts, conversations about problems, perhaps disagreements, negative events and situations, whatever they might be. So your balloon is filling up with air with each inhalation of that negative information, so the balloon fills up, gets bigger and bigger. You can imagine that at some point during your day, that balloon is going to be stretched to its absolute limits.

If you don't stop and release some of that air, you will remain feeling taught, tense, on the edge, perhaps tension headaches, or feeling over stretched, and stressed. Which may lead to bigger problems over time. M.B.C.T teaches you how to release the air in the balloon. Both physically and emotionally.

How do I know if I'm Stressed out and need help, and how do I release that stress?

Well if you snap at others easily, get angry very quickly

If you go to bed restless or can't sleep, tossing and turning and thinking of things.

If you can't seem to think straight or work things out, constantly replaying scenarios

Feel low emotionally and lack energy.

It means you need to release some of that air from your balloon. To perhaps see or understand things differently. And when you learn how, that release process can be easy.

Many of us are in need of simple and effective solutions that fit in with today's mindset and lifestyles, So M.B.C.T was developed to bring rapid results and solutions for today's world.

If you are ready I can't wait to be your coach
